Blog Life vol3

Here it is; the third volume of blog life, continuing from right where volume two left off. An ongoing diary that started life as an online blog. This volume covers the publication and promotion of several books, a variety of travel reports, then finally the impositions on life caused by Lockdown and Covid 19. This brings us right up to date, so it will likely be a couple of years before Blog life volume four appears on the scene, but it will eventually, be assured.

Blog Life vol2

Here it is; the second volume of blog life, continuing from right where volume one left off.
In this volume I cover the issues around moving into life as a professional self employed full time author. Two books are published during this time; Four To Dawn, and Sun Sea and Secrets, with a third, Malbed Mews getting thoroughly underway. There is a constant battle with mental illness [and often physical illness too], giving a good look into daily life with bipolar; whilst struggling to work and produce. Looked back on like this, one can really see the effort involved in living with this disease. Also highlighted is the growing obsession with all things Zombie.

Blog Life vol1

I have been blogging since mid 2012, and decided to edit and compile said blogs into a diary book, an age old tradition, common to writers going way back. Actually this first volume does not even cover a full calendar year; spanning the time between the end of June 2012 and near the end of March 2013.Like any diary, it is a progression through time, a life journey; hence the title, Blog Life.Of course I started out with good intentions, as do we all, to write a profound entry of colourful observations each and every day. 2012, actually turned out to be a very busy year. I’m not making excuses for the fact that within a few months I was no longer blogging daily, but was drifting towards occasionally, but there were some mitigating factors involved in this change. Firstly I was on holiday with limited internet access when daily turned into a few times a week. Secondly I was about to move house. And the final death knell, was the fact that we had no internet for several months after we moved house, and were subject to huge upheaval as we had to undergo a total rewiring before we could even begin to unpack. Fairly reasonable stuff, all in all. It was probably for the best that I ran out of steam a bit. I mean, I can be pretty chatty, as anyone who knows me and has sat and listened to me rabbit on can attest, but even I run out of things to say eventually.Anyway, here it is; the first volume of a diary of blogs that will hopefully feel like sitting down with a friend, albeit one with some serious mental health issues, for an interesting conversation, with a bit of travel thrown in.

confessions of a former witch pback.jpg

May J. Panayi was involved in the study of all things occult from her teenage years, until she left the craft thirteen years ago. During those years, she was a solo hedge witch, as well as later training in, then forming her own coven. These anecdotes and insights are a collection of information gathered over the course of thirty two years. The book concludes with a section by fellow occultist and Rune master, Michael Kelly.

All recipes have been tried and tested and approved of, repeatedly.

Each section has a little introduction which outlines the nature of the festival.

You don’t have to be a Christian to use this cookbook. If you walk a different path then just use the introductions as a point of interesting reference, and steam into the recipes.

I know you’ll love them, I do.

Woodvale

This book is a beautiful photographic representation of Woodvale (incorporating Extra Mural) cemetery. It takes a visual journey through the seasons, bringing breath-taking images that you will want to gaze on again and again. Gothic stonework combines with nature in all its forms, to bring images of contrast and in some cases harmony. Woodvale is an unexpected pleasure nestled in a thriving city. To drive along the busy road, past its gates, you would never imagine the tranquility, beauty and history that are within. Sit down, get comfortable, and take a journey into a very special place. A 21st Century Coven

The author, aka Moggie, was a practicing Witch for twenty six years. She started out as a solo hedge witch, and later trained with a Coven in Essex, UK, to third degree High Priestess. She ran the Cthulhu Rising Coven in Brighton from 2000 to 2009. She now walks a different path, but has put her experiences and knowledge down in this book.
Here you will find an extensive collection of Spells, Rituals, Path workings, and Workshops, amongst other things. This is an invaluable tool for Witches and Covens everywhere.

Pain Poems Prayer and Passion

A collection of poetry that takes a journey from the darkest, bleakest emotional landscape, through to a happy, peaceful place of light.
On its travels, it visits mental illness, violence and surreal silliness, as well as scenes of nature and tranquility.
It's a bit of a bipolar roller coaster ride, not really to be approached by the faint hearted and unwary.

Muses and Meanderings

Muses and meanderings is a collection of essays, articles, comic sketches, and general ramblings.
It is something to dip into when you fancy something a bit different, want to promote a discussion or need a slightly different, possibly somewhat warped take on life.
I make no apologies for my political or religious leanings; if you don’t like them, please feel free to use them as a jump off point to your own counter arguments, or just agree to disagree.
As Kenny Everett used to say; ‘It’s all done in the best possible taste!’
